The Furlo tunnel, 3400m long, is located on the Via Flaminia and is very important for vehicular traffic towards the Marche hinterland and traffic directed towards Umbria and Lazio (connection to E45 towards Rome).
Umpi supplied and tested the remote control and management systems of the two tunnels (one for each direction of travel) to improve efficiency, energy saving and traffic safety. The Minos system for tunnels was used, managing 2 cabins inside the tunnels and a total of 800 lighting points (reinforcements and permanent ones).
